# Trust30…Day 17… Invent the Future

The Prompt:

A man should learn to detect and watch that gleam of light which flashes across his mind from within, more than the lustre of the firmament of bards and sages. Yet he dismisses without notice his thought, because it is his. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

My favorite quote of all time is Alan Kay: ‘In order to predict the future, you have to invent it.’ I am all about inventing the future. Decide what you want the future to be and make it happen. Because you can. Write about your future now.

(Cindy Gallop)

My promptness:

Thinking about the gleams of light. Much truth there. Thinking about dismissals. Much truth there. Rethinking to include gleam of light and non dismissal of these in future.

I have decided to relax and wait for the gleam. My eyes are already shining. The idea of rest in the probable future is very exciting. What that rest will invoke as new gleams of light is yet to be seen.

The circle of thought and action needs completion. Beginning with the thought again.

  1. Truly sounds like a meditation on the future, waiting for the light to be made manifest and trusting that it most certainly will…

Thanks, Rich. Somehow could write only this, was too exhausted yesterday to even make myself think.
